|Deep Cut Garden
The Horticultural Park of the Monmouth County Park System
Middletown, New Jersey
Deep Cut Garden has been my solution to escape cabin fever. Each winter I'd go to its green house and enjoy the flourishing orchids, and
photograph them. It is totally free and I was often the only person there. Often I can't help thinking it is the reason that Monmouth county
towns won many years as most desirable place to live.
By chance I stopped by the garden April 27th, 2009; and was surprised by the spring display. It was a treat to share with you.
If you hit the F11key on your key board, The screen will be larger.
Near the green house the wall to the spring garden has ice plant growing on top very interesting display.
What a handsome Pansies bed. Connected to the Primrose bed.
Inside the greenhouse, quite a few kinds of orchids are blooming.
Cattleya is always pretty.
A red Paphiopedilum sp.
A nice Dendrobium, I wish mine will bloom.
Back to the grounds,The double yellow tulip lost its
typical shape. I'll try to look for some.
Double tulip in purple. Still attractive.
Among lots of flowering trees in the back of
the park, The birds are constantly making
symphonies. Here is an Cardinal. He is
